A DUI Driver was shot by a cop in California. And people are mad.
Sure, San Diego DUI cops shoot bean bags at drunk drivers who don’t stop but this is taking it to a new level, using real bullets.
Bad DUI cops are everywhere. That’s why we need videos all the time, not just when San Diego Police Department thinks cameras should be used. It should be the law.
I’d rather see “dirty” DUI cops than gunslinging DUI cops. It’s just too dangerous.
In this latest California DUI case, the cop believed the driver was going to flee. However, when the young man was still in his car trying to get out, the DUI cop walks right up, pulls out his gun, and pops the drunk driver. With a couple days, in what appeared to be the cops trying to cover up, the local California DUI prosecutor agreed not to file charges against the DUI cop. But that has changed now as he has lost his job and will be prosecuted. His family also could file a federal 1983 action against the police agency and DUI cop shooter.
